Laci Cannon

LACI CANNON was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has been a Pearland resident since age 4. She trained in many genres at a local studio for 9 years before deciding to try out for the Pearland High School Prancers. Laci served as a line member her freshman year. In her sophomore year, she was a Sophomore Lieutenant, and in her junior year, she was Co-Colonel with Khila Lyons. She served as Colonel of the Prancers during her senior year at PHS. From 2019 to 2021, Laci was a dance instructor at Coomer Ballet Conservatory where she specialized in Drill Team Prep. While in high school, Laci and Khila started a dance and choreography business titled Khila and Laci Choreography, and have been working with many dancers for the last few years. Following high school, Laci continued her education at Stephen F. Austin State University where she was a member of the 2021-2022 SFA Dance Team. Laci competed at NDA nationals and DTU nationals where she went on to become a DTU Hip Hop National Champion. Laci has been a part of the Ascension Dance staff since 2021 and has had countless opportunities to serve the dance community under their guidance and leadership. Now, Laci still currently attends Stephen F. Austin State University where she is a Sports Business major with a minor in Dance Team Coaching. She spends her time doing school, teaching, and choreographing with the hope to continue inspiring dancers whenever she can!
